Secret Agents to produce bilingual podcast and education series about Canada’s LGBT Purge

Secret Agents creates social impact strategies and entertainment, including informative, broadcast-quality 2SLGBTQ content for broadcast and/or distribution on all major audio podcast platforms. Our work with purpose-driven organizations has been seen by millions of Canadians. We use trauma-informed interviews, great production value and professional musical scores, which make our podcasts a unique listening experience in the 2SLGBTQ space.
We want to tell your story! Thanks to a community grant from The LGBT Purge Fund, Secret Agents is creating a bilingual documentary series of eight English and eight French episodes to explore and memorialize Canada’s shameful LGBT Purge.
The english version of this series will be told through an entire season of Secret Agents’ popular Queer Legends: An Oral History Podcast. We would like to speak with you and to others who survived the purge from the Canadian Forces, RCMP and federal public service, or who helped bring justice to survivors.
Our work comes from a place of activism and is centred around justice and reconciliation. We are survivors of homophobia, violence and injustice ourselves, which centres and fuels our work to help others thrive. We want to make sure that Canadians never forget what the Government of Canada once did to LGBT citizens and to celebrate the folks who demanded change.
